Hybrid Decon Train-the-Trainer: (2-Day) – Curriculum

 Participants will be instructed in the principles and operational application of Hybrid Decontamination using FiberTect and Dahlgren Decon systems. Effectiveness against Synthetic Opioids, CWA’s, BWA’s, TIC/TIM’s, and Emerging Threats will be discussed in depth. The Decon Field Guide App will be introduced, as well as instructions on dilution ratios, dwell times, and contraindications for use. Other topics discussed will include cold weather decon, post-fire decon, disinfection, and low footprint decon. Recommended SOP’s will be presented, as well as integration of hybrid decon into existing SOPs and agency mandated procedures. Participants will demonstrate their knowledge during extensive practical exercises and teach-back sessions.  

Upon successful completion of the course, each student will be provided with a template lesson plan, presentation, course certificate on FlightLMS, and access to the Decon Field guide to enable them to conduct training at their agency.
