Dry Decon Training (4 Hours)

Up to 95% decon on most threats can be accomplished immediately using FiberTect wipes and mitts. This course covers basic awareness of hazardous material threats, contaminant identification, safety precautions, and operational use of dry decon on common contaminants. Safety and decontamination measures for synthetic opioids will be covered in depth. Use of dry decontamination in mass casualty incidents and best practice updates will also be discussed.

All participants will take part in hands-on decontamination exercises utilizing non-toxic simulants for common contaminants.

This course is OSHA compliant for 4-hour HazMat Awareness level training and will count towards 4-hours of OSHA compliant HazMat Operator level annual refresher training.
