SWEDE Tyvek F Hood WMD PAPR Kit
Disposable Hood with Powered Air Purifying Respirator

The SWEDE Tyvek F Hood WMD PAPR Kit combines the value and protection of Tyvek F material with the reusable SWEDE WMD PAPR Kit and hood design. The integrated system provides head and respiratory protection from all known chemical and biological agents plus alpha and beta radiological particles. Special considerations have been given to user comfort, communications, and hydration. The SWEDE Tyvek F Hood WMD PAPR Kit fully integrates with SWEDE coveralls with no duct tape. The SWEDE WMD PAPR reduces the respiratory workload by drawing air into the hood creating an overpressure of clean breathable air. The proprietary tight neck seal and silicon half mask allow for a broader range of end users including those with glasses, facial and long hair. No fit testing is required.

SWEDE APRs require an oxygen righ environment (IDLH) or at least 19.5% oxygen for safe operation.

Tyvek F material offers an extremely high level of protection against all known chemical agents in solid, liquid, and gaseous forms for extended durations of time. Tyvek F is intended for one time use as chemical agents and friction from body movement will breakdown the exterior barrier over time.

Replenishment Kit
The SWEDE WMD PAPR is reusable if properly decontaminated and replenished with consumables. It will require 2 fresh WMD filters, 6 - C (1.5 v) batteries, and disinfection wipes before it can be used again.
