The integrated system provides head and respiratory protection from all known chemical and biological agents plus alpha and beta radiological particles. Special considerations have been given to user comfort, communications, and hydration. The SWEDE Butyl Hood WMD PAPR Kit fully integrates with SWEDE coveralls with no duct tape. The SWEDE WMD PAPR operates by drawing air into the hood creating an overpressure of clean breathable air. The proprietary tight neck seal and silicon half mask allow for a broader range of end users including those with glasses, facial and long hair. With the SWEDE Butyl Hood you have the advantage of training in the same gear that will protect you in a real life scenario. No fit testing is required.
