With PhaseCore an environmentally friendly phase change material (PCM), to cool and CarbonX, a non-flammable fabric, to protect the user from burn-related injuries, the new PhaseCore line of CarbonX FR Cooling Vests substantially lower the risks of injury or death to firefighters and other first responders.

Chantilly, VA – Dallas County Schools (DCS) in Texas has taken the next steps toward preparing for disasters. DCS officials have just received 10 AmbuBus kits that will help the city respond in case of natural or man-made disaster, pandemic, or widespread evacuation. The AmbuBus kits are from First Line Technology, LLC, a small business supplier of Out of the Box Solutions based in the Washington, D.C. metro area.

Jackson, MS - The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) has partnered with the Mississippi State Department of Education, individual school districts and several County Emergency Management Agencies in a new program called “AmbuBus” to help provide mass patient evacuations in the event of a public health emergency such as a hurricane.

Chantilly, VA – With the 2009 hurricane season underway, Mississippi has joined other states in FEMA Region IV by deploying the AmbuBus from First Line Technology in a statewide effort to enhance special needs evacuation capabilities. Delivery of the initial 14 AmbuBus kits, purchased through grant funds, were delivered to 6 different locations around the state. A joint training session was conducted between the school districts and the Department of Health to prepare for summertime severe weather.

With the recent success at the Texas Homeland Security and Disaster Response and Recovery Expo, First Line Technology will be exhibiting the AmbuBus - Bus Stretcher Conversion Kits - at the Long Island/NYC Emergency Management Conference in Melville, NY on May 27 and 28. The AmbuBus is a retrofit kit that enables vehicles of opportunity such as school or transit buses to be temporally converted into a mass casualty transport vehicle. The AmbuBus is currently being utilized statewide by Georgia and Alabama to enhance their special needs evacuation capabilities during hurricane evacuations and pandemic preparedness.

Chantilly, VA - First Line Technology recently delivered 40 AmbuBus - Bus Stretcher Conversion Kits to the Georgia Department of Human Resources completing a $1 million state-wide contract to enhance evacuation capabilities during natural or man-made disasters. The Georgia Department of Human Resources in conjunction with local school districts deployed these assets around the State of Georgia to convert school buses or other transit buses into mass-transport ambulances. The AmbuBus allows Georgia to use vehicles of opportunity in the State to expediently and efficiently evacuate hospitals, medical facilities, and nursing homes during a hurricane evacuation.

Chantilly, VA - First Line Technology has released its newest PhaseCore Phase Change Material (PCM) for its line of cooling products. The new PCMs activate at a higher temperature than PhaseCore 28 PCM. The activation point for PhaseCore 32 is 89.6ºF (32ºC), where with PhaseCore 28 the activation point is 82.4 ºF (28ºC). This higher activation point allows for a longer duration of cooling in extreme heat conditions for first responders, military war-fighters, and industrial workers.

This facility will house First Line Technology's headquarter offices and warehouse of homeland security and emergency preparedness equipment.
